The metadata persistence layout has been changed. Furthermore an older column store persistence format has been deprecated and is not supported anymore.
Therefore you need to take some special attention before upgrading your existing HANA 1 system into HANA 2.
Please be aware that also table exports and backups of HANA 1 systems that had been created before applying the following steps are not guaranteed to get replayed on HANA 2 systems.
When upgrading to HANA 2.0 SP 00 from a HANA 1.0 SP 12 system with remote data sync installed, you must upgrade your remote data sync to 2.0 SP 00 at the same time that you upgrade your HANA system to 2.0 SP 00.
